Who would have thought such a hotel was located in Midrand. If anything our area currently does not have enough conference and accommodation venues to take corporate group bookings. I always find it strange that even if we have this huge convention centre called Gallagher (a subject for another day:-)), busy throughout the year, accommodation in this area is scattered all around Midrand. This is really why I responded to Millicent's invitation to visit Bon Hotel Midrand. You will know that as an event manager you always have to give your client options, and not just options, but really good options to give them that peace of mind which shows you have done your homework.
Bon Hotel Midrand is a 3*star property located at a secure office park called Constantia Park just off the New Road Off-ramp. This venue is very suitable for group conferences that take more than a day, with those strategy sessions that need breakaway rooms and evening functions to give feedback or celebrate objectives achieved. It is great to know that it's also about 20minutes away from O.R. Tambo International Airport and they can assist with shuttling delegates to and from the airport.
They offer Deluxe and Standard Rooms for that quiet retreat after a long conference day. The rooms are surrounding a beautiful pool should you want to just unwind in the water before calling it a day. All rooms are air-conditioned, offer free Wi-Fi and an En-suite bathroom AND they smell good. I'm sorry but I have to say this, I hate the smell of stale carpets in any place that I book. So it was good to know that the rooms have all been given that modern revamp!
Would I book Bon Hotels for a Year-End Gala Dinner?, Yes, definitely! I saw too many opportunities whilst there to really get creative with this venue. I mean the colourful Spanish themed VIVA ESPANA restaurant for one, can really give you a year-end function to die for. It offers high ceilings, with the main hall that has a balcony that leads to a large bar venue. There are braai facilities outside for those informal functions. So seriously, it would be your perfect choice to end the year with a BANG!
The Affordability and Professional Service will keep this venue fully booked. Companies around Midrand are already flocking in and out on a daily basis.
